Congratulations!!! You have passed the SAP Certification. But, your real test is going to be started from the next day. After certification, days are more nervous, particularly for the people who are looking for a job / SAP consulting job based on their certification. They might have invested a significant amount of money and spent six months of marathon preparation and effort, but it does not provide any guarantee that you get a job in the market. Today's market has become extremely competitive, and employers are more cost intuitive in rolling out the offer letters. You might be attending some interviews and blowing off each interview for different reasons. Many time you have done everything you would like to do to get a job. However, unfortunately, fate, market conditions, luck, economy is not in your favour. You have spent a lot of amount for training and certification. You have attended few tens of interviews.
What are the things you mainly focus to get a job after passing SAP certification?

Improve Your Contacts
You do not know who is going to help you or guide you. You must have developed your listening skills for getting best suggestions. Use different social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, etc. to your advantage. Mainly, you should utilize the power of LinkedIn and update all your achievements, experiences, Certifications, etc. Furthermore, try to be in touch with some HR consultants, who are looking for skilled people. Also, regularly watch the job sites and different reputed companies’ career sites. It would be even beneficial if you could send your resume to the companies through employee referral rather than directly applying on the website, as so many people uploaded their resume and they might not have any time to examine into those. And last, do not forget to present a copy of your resume to training Institute, they might be having contacts with some of the companies, and they should be able to arrange the interviews for you.
-
Read and Practice Regularly
As soon as you got certified, your responsibility will raise, and you need to improve the habit of reading. There are different sites particularly, SAP Community, where many information and knowledge is available. Reading these sites would supply you an up to date information. This will not only enhance the knowledge but also give a sense what is happening with new technologies in SAP. Beside this, you should continuously practice with the system. The excellent way to practice is to get the documents from SAP Best Practices and configure them. You have a configuration, business process documents, and presentations for different industries/countries. The number of times you are configuring them, the confidence will be increased. No experience can replace you a real implementation project. However, these guides will gain you tremendous hands-on experience and keep you ready for next assignment.
-
Attend Interviews
The interview is a chance to showcase your knowledge and skills, and every interview is different in its own way regarding expectations. Don't worry much even if an interview went wrong. There could be different logic why an interview has gone wrong, and it is not surely relating to your knowledge and knowledge. However, each interview would give you a chance to know the expectations and what type of questions may ask. These interviews would give you an opportunity to improve your knowledge and thoroughly prepared for the next interviews. Your confidence will be boosted from interview number one to five or so on. At some time point, you would reach a stage that you are going to convince the interviewers. This is almost like driving test, wherein only a few lucky people can pass in the first time, but others have to try little more times.

Do Not Leave Your Hard Work and Passion
The most important thing you must remember is you are learning not just about job and money, but keeping up your passion for SAP. If you believe in your intensity and hard work for SAP, the money will follow. Even after acquiring the job, you should never lose the same interest and enthusiasm on SAP. This energy and eagerness to learn will always put you ahead of learning the new skills and knowledge areas. Passion and enthusiasm to learn more and more areas in SAP is the key to victory. Please remember that the skills are not acquired overnight. It takes years and years of continuous hard work to get to a master level. The type of projects you are working will also take focal part in fast-developing skills. Working on few end to end implementation projects may give you more overview of the system than working on few years of support project. Whatever be the project, be pro-active and take every challenge as an opportunity and try to help your colleagues and share knowledge. This is the key to your success.
